Welcome to the Natural Mommas Blog!

Welcome to the Natural Mommas Blog! I am so excited to embark on this new journey of blogging. When I was brainstorming about what I wanted to blog about I thought it would be fun to talk about all the lessons, challenges, and discoveries I’ve learned so far about parenting. I wanted to create a place where people can read about my personal experiences with parenting – what I have learned, discovered, and been through – in hopes that they might find out something new and pass it on to others. As well as, share what worked for them or didn’t work, so that we can all learn from each other! It should be a fun project and a great learning experience for all to enjoy!
Please feel free to create an open dialogue about your experiences and thoughts so we can all learn and grow together! In this blog I am going to discuss topics like breastfeeding, baby food making, cloth diapering, teething, sleep, baby wearing, traveling, and lots, lots more! The journey of being a parent, especially a new parent, is such an amazing one! There are so many ups and downs and twists and turns, it’s like a crazy roller coaster ride that never ends! Nothing can prepare someone for all that parenthood entails. When you hear people say it takes a village to raise a child, it is SO true! And at the end of the day you can sit back and realize that every day is a miracle of life and you would never change a thing!
I wanted to create this blog because all of the topics that I would like to discuss here are things that I NEVER thought I would be writing and talking about a year ago. I have always wanted a child but I never thought of all the other things that go along with raising a child. I just wanted a baby and I sure got one that has grown up WAY too quickly already! It never even crossed my mind to cloth diaper or make my own baby food or breastfeed my child until people asked these questions while I was pregnant. I just assumed that breastfeeding comes naturally after the baby is born and you don’t need to read books about it. But after D was born, WOW did I ever realize what a full time job it is to breastfeed! No one can prepare you for all you will struggle with in order to succeed! But as I see it, succeeding is the only option! It does come naturally but only with time and lots of sleep deprivation!
It’s topics like the ones mentioned above that I can now share my experiences with others so that they can learn more about what to prepare for before their child is born and hopefully feel a little less overwhelmed about. Or for people to learn more about which they might not have even known existed or was out there.
So if you have any comments, suggestions, ideas or quarrels – PLEASE feel free to contact me or leave a comment. I would LOVE to hear them all and learn more from readers! 🙂 It would be great to have an open dialogue here on all the subjects discussed and more!
Hope you enjoy and explore away! 🙂
Love it! Whole Parenting is hooked already!
